Aleks (she/her) is the Director of The Pleasure Centre, and a certified Sex, Relationships and Body Image therapist who works with all gender & sexual identities.
Her practice is sex-positive, and founded within intersectional feminist and queer theories.
Aleks has specialty training in issues of sexuality, sexual function, relationships, body image, eating disorders, trauma and anxiety.
Aleks works in Private Practice, and as a content creator with sexual wellness brands to provide editorial articles, blogs, and content for Instagram and TikTok.
The Pleasure Centre was established in 2018 to provide sex-pos, sex education and support, considering how limited these resources are for many of us.
Aleks’ knowledge base is extensive, having worked in psychiatric facilities with Eating Disorders, Drug and Alcohol, and Mood Disorders. In private practice, she has worked with individuals and couples addressing sexual function concerns, relationships, and more.
Aleks has completed way too many degrees, including a Bachelor in Psychology, A Masters in Counselling (with Research), and a Post-Grad Diploma in Sexology.
She is registered as a Clinical Counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), the Society of Australian Sexologists (SAS), and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (ASSECT).
She attends monthly individual, and group supervisions. She also engages in continuing professional development, studying constantly to ensure best practice.
She likes to crochet, and hang out with her dog, Roger (pictured).
